Pre-approvals and special offers
When a renter reaches out with questions before making a reservation, you can respond with a pre-approval or a Special Offer. These options make the booking process smoother, clearer, and more flexible for both parties.
What is a Pre-Approval?
A pre-approval lets potential renters know that your boat is available for the dates and passenger count discussed in your message thread. When you send a pre-approval, it enables the renter to confirm the booking directly for those details.
Pre-approvals do not block your calendar. You can pre-approve multiple renters at the same time. The booking goes to the first person who confirms — it's first-come, first-served.
Renters have 24 hours to confirm a pre-approval. After this period, they can still request to book at the same rate unless you cancel the pre-approval. You may revoke or delete the pre-approval at any time in the conversation thread.
Important: A pre-approval is not a confirmed booking. The reservation is only finalized once the renter clicks the "BOOK" button and completes the payment process.
What is a Special Offer?
A Special Offer allows you to send a custom proposal to a renter before they book. You can adjust the price, suggest different dates, or include extra details about the experience. It’s a great way to close a deal or accommodate specific requests.
