What are the booking options on boatUnity ?
Booking a boat on boatUnity gives you flexibility in how bookings are made. Some owners prefer to get to know renters/co-navigators before confirming a booking, while others opt for the efficiency of boatUnity's "Instant Booking" feature.
To accomodate different preferences, boatUnity offers several booking options detailled below:
Booking Request
By clicking this button, you send a booking request to the owner for the specific travel dates you've chosen. The owner can then choose to accept, decline, or ask you questions about your trip. You'll receive an email notification when the owner responds. If no response is received within 24 hours, your request will expire.
Instant Booking
By clicking this button, your booking is immediately confirmed, and the owner's calendar is blocked for other requests on the same dates. You'll receive an email receipt containing your travel details, and the owner may also contact you.
Contact Owner
This button isn't exactly a booking option but a pre-booking step. It allows you to initiate a conversation with the owner through our secure messaging system. You can use this messaging system to discuss trip details, inquire about special rates, or ask questions about onboard amenities.
The boat owner will set their preferred booking type when creating their listing. However, this choice is not set in stone as they can change the booking type at any time through their listing settings in their account.
